The Redeemed Women of God

ABOUT THE EDITOR

THE SPIRIT of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,(A)

~Isaiah 61

Erupting past the deep trenches of trial, tribulation, and the impossible, comes the birth and fresh anointing of acclaimed poet and new author Brandy “Brandywine” Rankins.

Burying her first husband who suffered with cancer at the tender age of 21 became only the introduction to BrandyWine's testimony. In 2007, Brandy had to bury her mentor & close friend-her mom, who endured a short but painful battle with lung cancer. That same year she was also fired from her job after 3 yrs of service for taking the time off to make arrangements to bury her mom, then her husband's grandfather (God blessed her with another husband) suddenly passed away, the newly purchased home she and her husband received the keys to two days prior was broken into and vandalized with over $9,000 worth of damage, her mother-in-law was diagnosed with heart failure, the family's van was stolen from in front of their church during morning service, and if that wasn't enough she received the news she was pregnant with a baby girl who had a blockage in several areas of her intestines...Surely BrandyWine is qualified by God to preach to you his Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and the afflicted.

Jesus has taken Brandy from trial to triumph and from broken-ness to breakthrough. Surely BrandyWine knows the power of overcoming by your testimony. It was in the darkness and severe weather conditions of the storm that BrandyWine came to know the LIGHT of JESUS.

Brandywine (as known when performing) was introduced to her gift of writing at the early and fruitful age of eight years old. Since this time, God has been maturing the gift of writing, speaking, ministry, and evangelism within her.  Not only has BrandyWine written and self-published her first book entitled:

Redeemed; From Earth's Gravel to God's Glory (please check it out at www.freewebs.com/brandywine01)

Now God has brought forth the vision from BrandyWine to start the monthly Christian women's newsletter: The Redeemed Women of God.

The sole purpose of the newsletter is to glorify God, while strengthening the women of God through testimony, friendship, and fellowship.

Brandywine’s resume consists of being a performance poet for over five years humbly blessing microphones, venues, and poetry slams throughout the nation. Brandywine was a member of the group formerly known as E.V.E. (Eccentric Visions of Evolution), the first all female poetry group from Ohio. She is currently a member of C.A.M.O.U.F.L.A.G.E.  Finesse (Christian Ascending Ministries Only Under Finesse Living Anointed Great Expressions), a poetry ministry which performs at churches and events upon request and bookings.

Brandywine doesn’t embrace worldly egos or influences to express her uniqueness or diversity amongst audiences. Instead, she allows the message to be your greatest inspiration. She doesn’t just paint pictures through her poetry, but she also invites you to travel with her through sadness and brokenness into the world of redemption and new hope. She exemplifies her trials of embarrassment, grief, and shame to encourage the masses that they too can and will overcome with faith in God.  This book was fully inspired by God as a means for her to encourage and witness to others about the great depths of darkness he’s delivered her from.

Brandywine was born Brandy Poteat on October 06, 1977 to parents Kent and Sharon Poteat. She is the youngest of five children and has two sisters and two brothers. Upon marrying her husband, Thomas Rankins Jr., in May of 2006, Brandy left her maiden name behind becoming Brandy Rankins. She has three sons: Jah’Mir, Toma’rez, Braelyn, and Princess Brielle. The Rankins family are proud members of Zion Pentecostal Church of Christ under the pastoral leadership of Suffragan Bishop C.Wayne Brantley.
